Relief work in floods of 2012 – A Glimpse of our Efforts.

Again in 2012, Pakistan was hit badly by the Floods. Flood affected Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. According to NDMA statistics, 571 people died, 2,902 were injured, 12,121 cattle head perished, 4.8 million people were affected, 1.7 million acres affected, 1.1 million acres crops vanished, 14,159 villages affected and 636,438 houses were damaged. Therefore the losses were huge and the scale of loss was very large.

 Al-Mustafa Welfare Society as always was there from the beginning and provided relief to the 5,000 flood affected families by providing them Cooked Food, Tents, Ration Bags, Mosquito Nets and Clothes etc.

 Distribution was done in different areas of Districts Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Nasirabad and Jafferabad.

We are thankful to our respected donors, field workers and volunteers who played their part in the need of time for the flood affected people.
